Bunk Beds
The one furniture product that you can without a doubt, say that it saved many
parents form having to find larger kids
bedroom.
Who is the inventor? many parents an kids would like to thank for the simple
yet room efficient product. You see you take two beds and you place them one
on top of the other and here comes out a BunkBed.
The nature of bunk
beds allows two people to sleep in the same room while maximizing available
floor space. This leads to them being used in places with limited floor space,
dormitories, hostels, children's
rooms, or university residence halls are a few but mostly bunk beds used
locations..
They normally are supported by four poles at each corner of the bed. To get
to the second bunk a ladder is used, though taller children often find other
faster, more creative methods of climbing into them.
The top bed is normally surrounded by a railing to prevent the sleeping child
or adult from falling out. Because of the need for a ladder and the height of
the bed, the top bunk of a bunkbed is not recommended for children under six
years of age.
Making simple yet essential modifications to the basic bunk bed, which has
two same size twin matters on top of the other and you got yourself 3 new types
of beds:
One option is to have the bottom in full size and the top twin and you get
the twin over full bunkbed
Second option is to use a futon type bed as the bottom and at the top the standard
twin and you got yourself the twin over futon bunk bed.
The third option would be to an L shape bunk bed. an L-shape is structured
as such that when viewed from above the beds form an L. This also creates a
small alcove where a desk can be placed. In recent years this style has become
popular in children's rooms because it creates a more relaxed appearance.
A loft
bed is the twin brother of the bunk bed yet they are not identical. It is
a bunk bed that has only the top bunk, creating an open space underneath that
can be occupied by a chest, drawers, or even a work area. This makes loft beds
an efficient use of small spaces by utilizing the entire vertical area that
would otherwise be left unused.
Some loft beds even have stow able trundle beds while retaining the capability
to contain workstations and drawers.
